  • Report of Science Club activity

The Science club of Kamala Devi Sohanraj Singhvi Jain College of Education had organised a science event on 29th April, 2024. The event was designed to engage students in hands-on learning experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific principles through interactive demonstrations. The event highlighted on the concepts of Integrated Farming and Hydroponics, Piezoelectricity and Hydraulic lift, Chemical traffic light reaction and Chemical chameleon reaction.

The integrated farming and hydroponics model blends traditional and modern agriculture for increased productivity and sustainability. Hydroponics cultivates plants without soil, using a nutrient solution for optimal growth. Piezoelectricity harnesses vehicle stress on roads to generate electricity, showcasing innovative energy solutions. Pascal’s law powers hydraulic lifts, lifting heavy objects with minimal force. Chemical reactions like the traffic light and chameleon reactions demonstrate colourful transformations, sparking curiosity and deepening scientific understanding.

Overall, these demonstrations offer practical insights into sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and chemical phenomena, enriching learning beyond the classroom.

The event was guided by Dr. Trisha Banerjee and Prof. Shrutashil Kar.
