Kamala Devi Sohanraj Singhvi Jain College of Education organized a one day lecture cum Interactive Session on 27″ June, 2023. The theme of the session was “Value Education- The need of the hour: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”.
The dignitaries on the dias were Shri Sohanraj Singhvi (President, KSS Jain College of Education), Shri Ashok Minni (Secretary, Shri S.S.Jain Sabha), Dr.Mandira Mukherjee honorable (Associate Porfessor, Department of Education, St.Xavier’s College (Autonomous)Kolkata, and Dr. Sadhana Jha (Principal, KSS Jain College of Education).
The session started with the welcome address of Dr. Sadhana Jha who highlighted the need of value education in all spheres of life and emphasized on the saying “Satyam Shivam Sundaram”.
The Key note address was given by Shri Sohanraj Singhvi who shared an informative overview on the theme Value Education, different forms of value, discipline and also role of parents on value education.
The lecture started with the felicitation of honourable speaker, Dr.Mandira Mukherjee gave a broad spectrum on the theme of value education and remarked that values are indispensable part of human beings and the only way to uplift society is through values.
The programme was well – coordinated by joint convenors, Prof. Amrita Datta and Prof. Ankita Das supported by the principal, faculty members and non-teaching staffs. The session was concluded by Shri Ashok Minni.
After the lecture, there was a wonderful interactive session where the participants interacted with the speaker.
The session ended with vote of thanks proposed by Prof.Piyali Banerjee.
